Introduction

Libby Battaglia is a member of The British Ballet Organization, which advocates ‘dance for all’. It believes there should be opportunities for all those interested in acquiring dance performance skills to participate in a well devised, safe and developmental programme of dance study, and to recognise their progress and achievement through taking examinations.

The BBO provides an Examination Syllabus in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance which has been designed to accommodate a wide variety of candidates of different ages, experience and levels of achievement.

The British Ballet Organization’s Graded and Vocational Examinations in classical ballet, tap and jazz are recognised by the Government’s Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority Wales (ACCAC) and Northern Ireland (CCEA).

All students are able to take Graded and Vocational examinations in Classical Ballet and Freestyle Dance Awards in Jazz from the age of 10yrs.  Younger age groups have assessments once a year.
